Fragrance of the Year

Fragrance of the Year nominees are evaluated by Fragrance Foundation members based on fragrance,

marketing strategy, packaging and advertising.

Eligibility: All fragrances launched in the U.S. from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016.

Please Note: All submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the Board of Directors on January 27th, 2017.

Packaging of the Year

Nominees are evaluated by Fragrance Foundation members based on bottle design, packaging and graphics.

Eligibility: All fragrances launched in the U.S. from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016.

Nominate

Media Campaign of the Year

Campaigns are judged by Fragrance Foundation members based on innovative concept and resonance.

Eligibility: Print, television and online campaigns are eligible. The submission can be for a fragrance launched between January 1 and December 31, 2016, or for a campaign released between January 1 and December 31, 2016 for an existing fragrance.

Nominate

Perfume Extraordinaire

This award recognizes the actual fragrance or olfactive creation. Nominees are evaluated by a panel of perfumers based on the craftsmanship and aesthetic beauty of the actual fragrance.

Eligibility: All fragrances launched in the U.S. from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. Any company that directly employs perfumers may submit for perfume extraordinaire.

Nominate

Consumer Choice Fragrance Hall of Fame

This award recognizes a fragrance classic that has achieved legendary status. Entries will be vetted by the
Board of Directors on Friday, January 27, 2017 and finalists will be voted on by consumers.

Eligibility: Fragrances that have been available in the U.S. for 15 years or more (released no later than 2001).

Member entry fee: $500
Non-member entry fee: $2500

Nominate

Indie Fragrance of the Year

This award recognizes a fragrance created by a brand not distributed or owned by a large company.
It is sold by fewer than 50 stores or e-tailers in the U.S.

Indie Fragrance of the Year entries are judged by a panel of fragrance experts.

Eligibility: Indie fragrances launched in the U.S. from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. Must be independent, not distributed or owned by a large company. Entry must be submitted by the brand, not by a distributor.

Breakout Star Award

This award honors a fragrance that has been on the market between two and five years and has grown to be a breakout star, demonstrating consecutive growth years since launch.
Entries are voted on by Fragrance Foundation members.

Eligibility: Fragrance must have been released in the U.S. between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2014.

Non-member entry fee: $2500

Nominate

Interior Scent Collection of the Year

Nominees are evaluated by Fragrance Foundation members on fragrance, packaging and product innovation.

Eligibility: Collections launched in the U.S. from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. Collections must include more than one of any of the following: Candles, potpourri, diffusers and other significant interior scent applications.

Nominate

Bath & Body Line of the Year

Nominees are evaluated by Fragrance Foundation members on fragrance, packaging and product innovation.

Eligibility: The full collection must have launched in the U.S. from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. Collections must include two different forms of product (i.e. soap, shower gel, body lotion, body gel, bath salts, body scrub, body splash, deodorant spray, etc.).

Consumer Choice

The Fragrance Foundation Consumer Choice Award represents the voice of American consumers and names their favorite fragrances.Consumers will vote on Fragrance.org from March – May 2017.

Eligibility: All fragrances launched in the U.S. from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016.

Social Media Campaign of the Year

This award honors the best use of social media by a brand. It is judged by a panel of digital media experts, who base their evaluations on concept and execution across social media channels as well as the resonance of the message.

Eligibility: The submission can be for a fragrance launched between January 1 and December 31, 2016, or for a campaign released between January 1 and December 31, 2016 for an existing fragrance.

This award will be given out at The Finalists’ Luncheon on Friday, April 7, 2017

Nominate

360-Degree Marketing Campaign of the Year

This award honors the best use of an all-around marketing campaign by a brand. It is judged by a panel of marketing experts on concept and execution of a marketing campaign that hits all of the consumer touch points — advertising, public relations, online and in-store.

Eligibility: The submission can be for a fragrance launched between January 1 and December 31, 2016, or for a campaign released between January 1 and December 31, 2016 for an existing fragrance.

This award will be given out at The Finalists’ Luncheon on Friday, April 7, 2017

These awards are judged bye a panel of media experts based on originality, creativity, accuracy and content
in the following categories:
Print Feature (over 500 words)
Print Article (250-500 words)
Online

Eligibility: Content that appeared in print or online in 2016.
This award will be given out at The Finalists’ Luncheon on Friday, April 7, 2017
